This roast pork with apples is a traditional, comforting recipe, bursting with flavor. The combination of pork with white wine, the aromatic flavor of the Hands on Earth Pork Seasoning, and the sweetness of the Reineta apples creates a succulent and balanced dish, perfect for a family lunch or a special weekend meal.
Ingredients (serves 4)
- 800 g of pork for roasting
- 1.5 dl of white wine
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon of Hands on Earth Pork Seasoning
- 40 g of lard
- 30 g of butter
- 4 Reineta apples, preferably
- 1 bunch of watercress
- 1 lemon
Preparation
- Place the pork in a roasting pan, pour over the white wine, and season with salt, pepper, and the Hands on Earth Pork Seasoning, coating the meat well with the seasonings.
- Add the lard and butter and place in an oven preheated to medium temperature. Let it roast until the meat is almost cooked, basting occasionally with its own juices.
- Meanwhile, wash the apples, remove the cores, and cut them into quarters.
- When the meat is almost ready, add the apples to the pan and return to the oven to finish roasting. Let it cook until the meat is well-roasted and the apples are soft and slightly golden.
- Remove the meat from the oven and slice it.
- Arrange the meat on a serving platter, add the watercress and roasted apples, and garnish with lemon slices. Drizzle with the pan juices.
Serving Suggestion
Serve the roast pork piping hot, accompanied by the apples and watercress. For a fresh and aromatic touch, finish with a few drops of lemon juice.
